Like sheep among wolves - gospel messages of God's Word

Like sheep among wolves Stay tuned Be prudent We live with prudence and simplicity

Behold, I send you as sheep among wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16

We Christians, we are sent forth as sheep among wolves vicious and cruel. These beasts are always lurking around waiting for an opportunity to destroy us. So we must never forget the teachings of our great Pastor, our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.

The thing that these beasts is the world's most want to attack us and destroy our unity especially with our Great Shepherd and Lord, so we disperse and weaken us.

We can never surrender nor give up before the bad events of this world. Even when we are slandered, betrayed, disappointed, hurt or harassed should keep our faith more and more based on our good shepherd because He alone is strong and powerful enough to protect us and preserve the valley of the shadow of destruction and death.

The Lord Jesus also instructed us that in this world full of beasts who deceive people, steal, lie, slander and only want is to get the leather of the sheep of the Lord we must be prudent and very cautious terms to avoid the dangers and deceptions this life full of falsehood and hypocrisy. We Christians, we should not be gullible. Loyalty and fear of God is not a sign of naivety or a kindness completely blind.

Do not be deceived. Bad company corrupts good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33

We must be practical, we must always look and see whether a person is worthy of our friendship or trust. In order to develop a correct attitude of the unknown is essential that we pray to our God and Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, He gives us the discernment of spirits so that we can have a better idea about what the person or place that we are dealing with.

Our Lord Jesus taught us a great way for us to have that kind of understanding: just look at the quality of the fruit that some people in the present. He told us:

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves. 16 By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather, perhaps, grapes of thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree can not bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. - Matthew 7:15-20

That's it! A good person, honest, God-fearing, actually converted to the Lord, a person living in newness of life, that gives good results and does good works. So we must look carefully before we make any kind of attitude towards people who do not know further. This is recommended for all walks of life, it is applicable in the church, in life, school, college, club, bus, plane, the market ... In all places and activities. The Lord warned us:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. - 1 John 4:1

The simplicity of life which the Lord tells us to live is a recommendation that we take a life in accordance with the gospel with humility of thoughts, words and attitudes. This simplicity is what will truly make us take the wonderful hope and the good news is that the powerful word of our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God.

At that time Jesus said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Matthew 11:25
