20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, them became the last state worse than the first. 21 For better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 Thus there came to them what this proverb says true; Return the dog to his vomit, and the sow that was washed back to wallowing in the mire.

2 Peter 2:20-22

Once delivered and saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ many Christians think they are already saved and not needing to worry about evil and the frequent attacks of the insistent and relentless enemy of God.

But the enemy of God does not sleep. He is always wide-eyed and ready to bomb the sons of God. A very frequent and consistent weapon the enemy uses against us is to make Christians feel sad and feeling that they are not living all that the world offers or who are leading a life of mediocrity and meaningless. All this he does for the children of God is no longer walk after the flesh, your domain, but according to God's Holy Spirit, God's dominion. And it bothers you so much.

Our fellowship is not at all like the enemy of God. Because of this he insists on putting our lives on the strong desire to sin. In fact he wants for himself the honor and glory we give to God. As we do not correspond to the wishes and wills it, he clamped down on us and insists on putting in our lives the desire to practice again with the same sins which he enslaved us.

Another kind of temptation that the enemy puts in our lives is the feeling that we are defeated before the world is that we chose to flee following the Lord Jesus Christ. He calls us weak cowards, misfits, weirdos, of strangers, of animals from the woods and many other derogatory things. All out of sheer envy and jealousy. So typical of him.

We must never allow the attacks to kill the enemy. That's exactly what he wants. He wants to humiliate us and make us lose heart in the walk. Now! What we wish we could have if we have the greatest treasure of this life: the Lord Jesus Christ. What could be greater than our God and His amazing grace and eternal life by His side.

The enemy puts in our lives the desire to have more money, the woman or man of others, betraying, lying, hatred, stealing, prostitution, viewing pornography, masturbation, playing, drinking, smoking, drugging, fighting, to avenge ... Etc.

That's what the enemy of God wants. He wants to separate us from the grace of our God of Love and with that in play in the mud, playing in the dirt and the remains of life in this world of sin. Therefore we must cling increasingly to the Lord Jesus Christ and His grace so that we can always look forward and upward and not let the enemy will never bombard our hearts and ruin our beautiful walk with our God Love.

Who is the Lord of Life, the Lord of Glory, which could miss that person? What more could she want?

Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we have believed and know that you are the Holy One of God. John 6, 68-69

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35
