What will be your decision? Do not resist God's Word Be faithful to the Lord's Word God asks very little Only the Word of God has power to change your life Will we make the right choice?

1 Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was brave man, but a leper. The two Syrians, one of its attacks, had led captive out of the land of Israel, a girl who was in the service of Naaman's wife. 3 And she said to her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Because this would cure him of his leprosy. Fourth one went in to his master, saying, Thus and thus said the girl who is the land of Israel. 5 And the king of Syria said, Go now, and will send a letter to the king of Israel. It was, therefore, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold and ten changes of clothes. 6 And the king of Israel took the letter, saying, "So, in coming to you this letter, you will know that I have sent Naaman my servant, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy. 7 And the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said 'I am God, which can kill and make alive, that it sends to me a man so that I cured of his leprosy? Observe, I beseech you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me. 8 When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, he sent word to the king, Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come to me, and know that there is a prophet in Israel. 9 Came So Naaman with his horses and his chariot, and stood at the door of Elisha's house. 10 So that it had sent a messenger to tell him: Go, wash yourself seven times in Jordan, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and be clean. 11 But Naaman was angry and went away, saying, Behold, I thought: He will surely come out to me, and stand, and stand, prayer to the Lord his God, wave his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12 There are perhaps Pharpar and Abana, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? I could not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in anger. 13 His servants, however, came to him and told him, saying, My father, if the prophet had given you something difficult, perhaps you would have not fulfilled? The more, telling you it: Wash thyself, and be clean. 14 Then went he down and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, as the word of the man of God, and his flesh became like the flesh of a boy, and he was clean.

2 Kings 5:1-14

Many children of God, after going through years and years of slavery and suffering end up being touched by the infinite mercy and grace of God our Father and is able to approach our Loving Lord Jesus Christ.

Some of these children who come to the Lord Jesus Christ, even when they had great intentions, are still practicing some of their sins more constant. It is as it should be. The Lord Jesus said He came for the sick and sinful and that is how all God's children, those children who really are looking for a new life, must be received by all of us who know the miraculous and healing Word of God.

However, many of those who say they want to live a new life and leave out the impurities and sins they have committed only do lip service and nothing more. These people come to churches and cults, and in possession of that void with what they came there, they go away. Thus, They worship and meeting an empty ritual that does not change anything in their lives.

What really changes people's lives is to hear and practice the powerful and transforming Word of God. The Holy Spirit of God through the Apostle James tells us:

Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. - James 1:22

We listen carefully to the wonderful Word of God, and with all our strength, intelligence and heart, we should do our best to put it into practice in our lives as quickly as possible.

The life-giving Word of God often comes to us through reading or proclamation of the holy scriptures or the mouth of a true prophet of our God Almighty.

What happened to Naaman was an example, a clear lesson in how not to act before the Word of God which is given us by the Holy Spirit of the Lord.

The Great and Anointed Prophet Elisha said:

Go wash yourself seven times in Jordan, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and be clean.

2 Kings 5:10

The prophet Elisha said, do as the Almighty God will purify you and you will be healed.

What did the sick man? He obeyed? He ran to the man of God told him to do?

No! Naaman did nothing.

Naaman was a rebel; Naaman went away; Naaman did not have faith; Naaman did not give credit to the Word of God, but man, preferred to stay with their own opinions and thoughts; Naaman was proud; Naaman was self-sufficient;

Naaman was stubborn and unbelieving, the result was that he got nothing from God. Because of his rebellion and faithlessness Naaman had to take the way back with all its impurities. He came to the man of God seeking a cure for his leprosy physics, but left to dominate once again for their spiritual leprosy.

In our lives, we are also subject to the infirmities and weaknesses spiritual These diseases, as well as spiritual leprosy that Naaman had, are mainly caused by our sins, disobedience, rebellion and sins that cause us to not keeping the commandments and the words God.

This spiritual sickness that Naaman had with him, leaves us numb and cause us much pain and suffering. Not to mention that it separates us from the Word and the relationship with our God and loving Father.

That's what happened to the sick man. Naaman chose to make their own choice and decided to stay with dirt and filth of him than receive God father the wonderful blessings that our Lord had set apart for him.

And we? What will our decision on the words of our God of love. Come stay with us our sins and filth or we'll credit the wonderful and life-giving Word of our God of Love.

Will we leave our dirt? Will we stop the robberies? Will we let the drugs? Will we stop looking at pornography on the Internet or on TV? Will we let the lies (the sickness and illusions) that the devil places in our lives? Will we let the hurts and resentments? Will we let the lover or the mistress? Will we leave the booze and cigarettes?

Will we leave our sins and impurities or would you rather go home with them. We do not know what sin you have committed nor the impurity to which you are delivered. But our God tells us:

Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts; return to the Lord, have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:7

That's exactly what happened to Naaman, now enlightened by the grace of God that had come to him through the mouth of his servants who were wise people and God fearing.

Listening to the wise, he decided to abandon their rebellious ways and his own thoughts that he was not taken anywhere and, putting aside his pride, he decided to obey the Word of God that man had given his life and all things become new and different.

14 Then went he down and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, as the word of the man of God, and his flesh became like the flesh of a boy, and he was clean.

2 Kings 5:1-14
