29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel, and reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.30 Ahab son of Omri did evil in the eyes of the Lord more than all that preceded it.31 And, like little walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him;32 and up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal which he built in Samaria;33 also made a grove. And Ahab did more to provoke him to anger the Lord God of Israel than all the kings of Israel before him.

Prosperity is not needed. You have enough on time. It is to make sure that the Lord is always by our side and when the time comes, He will grant us the desires of our heart. Prosperity is this: is to make sure that the Lord will provide for us in all that is necessary to bring us to our full and abundant life.
King Ahab did displeased the Lord. He disobeyed the orders of the Lord and ended up marrying a stranger, Queen Jezebel, who was known to be an idolater.
King Ahab was wildly unfaithful to God Almighty.Not only that the rebellion of marriage, he still built altars to false gods and worshiped them.
One of the false gods that King Ahab and his wife, Queen Jezebel, Baal worship was known and wrongly worshiped as the god of rain and fertility.
It was then that Elijah the prophet received a revelation from the Lord to be addressed to King Ahab:
1 And Elijah the Tishbite, who dwelt in Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord liveth, the God of Israel, before whom I stand, in these years there will be no dew or rain, but according to my word.1 Kings 17:1
Because of the idolatry of King Ahab and his family, abundance and plenty of yesteryear began to get scarce. Because of wickedness, infidelity and injustice they were committing there was a tremendous drought. The scarcity of rain and dew to hit the area lasted about three long years that have brought the region much destruction and suffering.
These biblical accounts we can draw some lessons for our lives.
Often we follow in our own life or the life of someone we know a tremendous dryness and infertility in all areas. I realize it happens at work, school, love life, personal relationships and so on.
Often we do not understand why our life or the life of someone you know is not developed and does not go ahead. We realize that our life or the life of the person does not bear good fruit, they are constantly dry and lifeless.
Like those idols were false gods of the past, today there are many other false gods, as opposed to bring to people's lives joy, abundance and prosperity, in fact, they only bring lies, deception, alienation from God, sadness, dryness and diverse needs.
Today there are many false gods: television, idolatry, computer, phone, Internet, video games, play online, the chat room, the ballad, the addictions, pornography, sex friendships in the world, the pursuit of pleasure, luxury, fame, vanity, the unbridled pursuit of material success and professional etc. ..
All this is because out of our relationship with God on high, out of communion with the Lord Jesus Christ is not likely to happen in someone's life the true and wonderful production of good fruit and not the true and lasting prosperity.

So you and I must turn our hearts to Almighty God. Only when we are in true communion with our God will we be properly guided and taught by the Holy Spirit of God.
When we are taught and guided by the Lord of Lords has endeavor as something or go wrong in our lives.
That's exactly what happened to the prophet Elijah when he challenged and defeated in a humiliating baall of the prophets. After that the rain, fertility, abundance and prosperity back to those lands.
Let us not forget that the presence of God in our lives does not mean we will not have problems, challenges and difficulties. Absolutely not. We will never be shielded from life's adversities. It means that, however anxious we may be killed and on the problems and difficulties of life, always have to turn and, without a shadow of doubt, we must be absolutely sure that our Almighty God is always at our side to protect us, give us strength, deliver and restore us.
